How i got lost in Asia
I was on my way
back to Australia,
when i changed my mind
while i was in Taiwan,
where a not planned journey
started...

I'm Tony, a Italian guy passionate about travel and photography.
Let's step back and start from the begin:
Happened in 2014 when i decided to leave home to move and live abroad.
First destination was Spain where i had the chance to work in restaurant that faced the beautiful beaches
and crystalline water of Formentera, jumping then in London. "The big smoke" welcomed me for two years
where after that i decided to apply for a Working Holiday Visa to live and work in Australia, where i spent a year.
And here where everything started.

"Flying to Australia is a long journey.
I might stop somewhere on the way, i'm not gonna fly
for 30 hours straight".

That's what i thought.
A quick search about flight, ticket prices etc... and here we go. Thailand..."Mmmm...Is on the way...I heard is a great place to go. Yeah why not".
One way ticket to Thailand.
It was my first solo trip with a backpack on my shoulders all around the country for almost one month,
having one of the best experience of my life.
Jumping from cities to cities, hostels to hostels, crossing paths with mazing people that made my journey.
But the time to leave Thailand knocked on my door.

I was on a flight to Melbourne,
full of joy and a smile on my face.
That was the moment where something changed in me....

I landed in Melbourne where i started a new life. New friends, new job, new house and a new city that was waiting for me to get explored.
After few months a feeling of confusion came, i felt weird and i couldn't understand why.
After a while and few considerations, i thought "Melbourne, maybe, is not my city".
So i decided to move to Sydney after being 6 months in Melbourne. And again, a new life started.
Life was great in Sydney but that feeling still came back sometimes. I missed something i guess.
6 months have flown in Sydney and the time to leave Australia came as my Visa was over. I was on my way back home.
After a long flight here i am again back in Italy.
Being in the other side of the world for one year far away from family and friends it was tough, and that made me appreciate to be back.

Guess what... that feeling of confusion came again...But at this time i had the answer
The smile on the face of those kind people, the harmony that i felt around, the kids that were running to me yelling "Hello".
Thailand taught me how be rich by owning nothing.
Thailand was just the begin of a journey i felt i had to do, i needed to go back in Asia!

That was the answer to my questions.
Sawadee ka!
